Ornithology in Ontario

In 1994, we published Ornithology in Ontario, edited by Martin McNicholl and John Cranmer-Byng. This superb 400 page book is a ‘must’ in the collection of anyone who has any interest in the bird life of Ontario. The exhaustive list of topics includes a historical overview, archaeology, early naturalists, zoology, museums, bird banding and studies. It also includes 10 biographies of 10 of Ontario’s birding pioneers, 10 species accounts, and over 30 drawings by many of Ontario’s excellent artists.
